Ridley Scott’s The Martian opened strong this weekend, taking the top spot and bringing in $55,000,000. Sicario was given a wide release this week (after a couple weeks in limited theaters) and landed at the third spot with a $12,000,000 box office grab. Hotel Transylvania 2 dropped to the number two spot this week but still managed to take in $33,000,000. M. Night Shyamalan’s The Visit is still hanging in in the top ten and with the Halloween season upon us it looks like it’ll be hanging on for a bit longer. Considering the budget to his found footage horror film was only $5,000,000 and it’s going to clear at least $65,000,000 domestically it’s safe to say we will have to endure more of his films in the future.
