Weekend Box Office Report July 17th – 19th

So the weekend box office is in and Marvel took the top spot with the opening of Ant-Man this weekend bringing in $58,ooo,ooo followed by Minions which dropped to the second spot this week with a weekend gross of $50,000,000.  The only of the major movie released over the weekend was Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck which brought in $30,000,000.  Not a bad opening for the comics first venture into feature films, coupled with solid reviews and good word of mouth it’s on track to make a decent amount of money for a summer comedy.  Jurassic World still holds strong staying in the top 5 and bringing its total gross to a whopping $611,000,000.
