Another weekend has come and gone and once again the most unlikely of super heroes reigns supreme, Deadpool has crushed the competition for a third week in a row and is poised to break the $300,000,000 mark by the weeks end. A lot of people may have expected some success for Deadpool but a “Hard R” movie opening in February to take control of the box office for a month was way off the radar. Gods of Egypt, the insanely terrible looking fantasy flick, took second place with a $14,000,000 take. Kung Fu Panda 3 still sits in the top 3 with $9,000,000 in ticket sales. The only other new movies to open this weekend, Triple 9 and Eddie the Eagle, took the fifth and sixth spots respectively.
