To give you an example of how well prehistoric juggernaut Jurassic World is doing, it dropped 51.1% and still had a strong number one against Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out, which has not only been highly anticipated, but has had nearly universally good reviews. In all likelihood, we’ll be seeing Jurassic World in the top ten for most of the summer. Disney can’t be too disappointed though, as it currently has three films in the top ten; Avengers: Age of Ultron is still going strong, and despite mediocre reviews, Tomorrowland in still hanging in there. The indie coming of age/comedy Dope had a strong debut at number five, which considering the summer blockbuster competition, is pretty impressive.
