Ahead of the release of the upcoming Suicide Squad, Warner Bros. has announced they are contemplating an all female DC film, with Harley Quinn at the center. Margot Robbie would not only reprise her role as Harley Quinn, but also act as a producer on the film. The cast would also reportedly include Batgirl and the Birds of Prey. Which members of the Birds of Prey have not been specified, although the original comic, they consisted of Black Canary, Huntress, and former Batgirl Barbara Gordon as Oracle.
A short lived Birds of Prey TV series ran on FOX, but it only lasted one short season. Some say the show was just ahead of it’s time, while others say that it just wasn’t any good. Interestingly, the main antagonist on the show was a pre-Harley Quinn persona Dr. Harleen Quinzel, played by Ferris Bueller’s Mia Sara.
