The highly anticipated sequel to the 1988 classic Beetlejuice has finished production, according to an Instagram post from director Tim Burton. In the post, Burton stated,”Just finished shooting Beetlejuice. Thank you to everyone involved.”
Production on the film shut days only two days before production was set to complete due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
The original film’s stars, Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara are are reprising their roles from the iconic original, joined by Wednesday and Scream star Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux and Willem Dafoe.
Beetlejuice 2 is scheduled for release on September 6, 2024.
