Marvel has unveiled a new poster for the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming, and it kind of sucks. A lot. Like, a real lot. There are a handful of first year digital art college students out there who are feeling considerably better about their first projects. There is nothing interesting or inspiring about it at all. Why are both Peter Parker and Spidy on it? And what about Tony Stark and Iron Man? Or Adrian Toomes and the Vulture? That’s six characters right there, which is three too many. Add in Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, both the NYC skyline and the Washington Monument, and some dude with some crazy gun, and you’ve got yourself a hot mess.
Hopefully the film is better than the poster. We’ll find out July 7, 2017.
