If you’re a fan of the comedy group Lonely Island (Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg, and Jorma Taccone), then there’s good news that should excite you. The Lonely Island troupe’s second venture into the movie making business (after 2007’s Hot Rod) is being produced by none other than Judd Apatow. Apatow revealed today via his Twitter account that “Production began today (ok, yesterday)…”, and also posted this- we think, kick ass teaser poster, which at least gave us a working title, Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie:
Joining the forces of Apatow & the Lonely Island, with Island member director Jorma Taccone at the helm, this Creative Team has set forth before them, something that could kick the comedy world in the comedy nuts. We’ll be sticking with this story; no release date as of now, so we are sure the standard 1-2 year release date is in effect.
