Apple TV+ is officially bringing back Ted Lasso for Season 4, with series lead Jason Sudeikis set to return as the titular football coach. There have been no other casting announcements, though it was previously been reported that options had been picked up for Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift.
“As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap,” Sudeikis said in a statement. “In season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”
Jack Burditt (Modern Family, 30 Rock) will join as executive producer ,with Sudeikis as executive producer. Brendan Hunt (who also portrayed Coach Beard), Toheeb Jimoh, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel also executive produce. Brett Goldstein is attached to write and executive produce along with Leanne Bowen.
Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer co-executive produce through Doozer Productions. Sasha Garron co-produces the new season, which is written and produced by Sara Walker and Phoebe Walsh. Dylan Marron edits stories, while Julia Lindon writes. Doozer has an overall contract with Warner Bros. Television, which produces with Universal Television.
Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kelly, and Hunt created “Ted Lasso,” which is based on the NBC Sports personalities and concept.
