As we recently reported, on an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, Robert Downey Jr. hinted that he may appear the upcoming Spider-Man reboot, Spider-Man: Homecoming, provided the contracts are in place. Well, apparently they are, because THR is reporting that Downey is confirmed to bring Iron Man to the new Spidy-verse.
We also recently reported that Michael Keaton was being considered for a role as a villain in Homecoming, but THR saying that negotiations have ended, which we’re happy about. Keaton is too good for a thankless super villain role.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released July 7, 2017.
