SONY and Marvel/Disney are shuffling the deck again thanks to COVID-19. SONY’s third Tom Holland Spider-Man film has been pushed from its original release date of July 16, 2021 to Nov. 5, 2021, with the sequel to the Academy Award winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse moving from April 8, 2022, to Oct. 7, 2022. Over at Marvel, Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness has moved from Nov. 5, 2021 to March 25, 2022, and Thor: Thor: Love and Thunder moves up a week from Feb. 18. 2022 to Feb. 11, 2022.
We expect, however, that none of these dates are set in stone, as the future of the entertainment business as a whole is still undetermined.
