Kraven the Hunter is expected to have a worse opening weekend than the disastrous Madame Web, which has led to Sony apparently abandoning its Spider-Man universe, which includes much criticized movies Venom and Morbius.
According to a top talent agency who spoke to The Wrap, Sony has “developed what they want to develop for now” and is concentrating on the upcoming Spider-Man movie under Marvel Studios, which star Tom Holland has stated will start production in 2025.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who starred in Kick Ass and Bullet Train, plays the title antagonist in Kraven the Hunter. He is a proficient hunter who, after defeating all other animals, sets his sights on Spider-Man.
