Like a pair of quarreling lovers, SONY and Disney have made up and have reached a deal to return Spider-Man to the MCU. Tom Holland will return to portray the web slinger in a sequel to Far from Home that will be produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, and will take place within the MCU. Sieder-Man will “also appear in a future Marvel Studios film,” according to a press release, though no specific film was mentioned. Also not mentioned were the terms of the contract, so we can only speculate who caved. The third Spidy film has been dated for a July 16, 2021 release.
