Among the many announcements at D23 was that She-Hulk, Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel would be getting their own Disney+ plus series. The She-Hulk series has been rumored for a while now, with Mark Ruffalo reportedly to return to pass the Hulk baton to Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters. In the comics, Walters received an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin and acquired a milder version of his Hulk condition. Eventually her condition was permanent, though she retained her intelligence and acted as a practicing lawyer in Hulk form.
For those not familiar, Moon Knight is often compared to Batman, though he maintains multiple secret identities. A fan favorite, there has been talks of a Moon Knight film for a while now, but a series should be able to help flesh out the character a bit. Ms Marvel, whose real name is name Kamala Khan, is a teen Muslim-American superhero “nerd” who can stretch and alter her body’s shape and density. She is also a huge Captain Marvel fan, so we can expect some crossovers from the films.
There’s no word yet on when production will begin on the shows.
