Paramount Pictures is teaming up with Ryan Reynolds‘ production company Maximum Effort to produce a Might Mouse movie. Additionally, Paramount Animation has also hired Matt Lieberman, who worked with Reynolds on the 2021 fantasy-comedy Free Guy, to write the script.
Mighty Mouse debuted 1942 in the short film,“The Mouse of Tomorrow.” He’d go on to star in dozens of other shorts over the decades, as well as a Saturday morning cartoon, which was responsible for “Mighty Mouse Theme (Here I Come to Save the Day).” A revival series, Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures, aired on CBS on Saturday mornings from fall 1987 through the 1988–89 season. It was notable due to the fact that it was produced by legendary animator Ralph Bakshi and directed by John Kricfalusi, who would go on to create Ren & Stimpy.
