According to Deadline, the upcoming Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has been stolen by hackers who are seeking an enormous amount of money in ransom be paid by Disney in Bitcoin. Disney is reportedly working with the FBI and is refusing to pay the ransom. Disney CEO Bob Iger would not state which movie the ransom hackers claimed to have, but Deadline learned that it was Jerry Bruckheimer’s fifth film in the Pirates franchise, which is scheduled for release May 26.
This hacking ransom follows the Netflix hacking when 10 episodes of the upcoming season of Orange Is The New Black were released when Netflix also refused to pay a ransom.
