If your upcoming trip to the Big Apple was to include a stop at The Little Lebowski Shop, a store dedicated to the 1998 Coen Brother’s cult classic film The Big Lebowski, then you’re out of luck, as it is closing its’ doors .
Vanishing New York spoke with owner Roy Preston (who naturally runs the store in his bathrobe):
“The brick and mortar section of our business is closing. The website will remain active. Customers can shop at the new Little Lebowski Shop – http://new.littlelebowskishop.com – where we’ll have a wider selection of merchandise and lower prices. So we’re not vanishing but rather moving forward. Running a business in New York City has become too expensive.”
