An official big screen adaptation of the hit video game series Uncharted has been in development limbo for some time now, with directors David O. Russell, Joe Carnahan, and Shawn Levy all having been attached at various points. Mark Wahlberg and Chris Pratt have both been rumored to star as Nathan Drake, with Tom Holland recently rumored to portray the character in a prequel film to the game.
Well, long time fan Nathan Fillion, who has been vocal about wanting to play the role, went ahead and made a short fan film to prove he’s the right man for the job. After watching this, we tend to agree. This could be a Deadpool attempt at getting the studio’s attention, short pilot for a TV series, or just something for fun. Either way, it’s pretty great. As a bonus, the short film, directed byAllan Ungar, also features Stephen Lang. Take a look:
