Jason Mewes, better known as Jay of Jay and Silent Bob from Kevin Smith’s “View Askewniverse” films (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Clerks: The Animated Series, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks II, Jay and Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot) makes his directorial debut starring as a fictionalized version of himself trying to take the next step in his career. Tired of Hollywood’s perception of him, Mewes takes advice from best friend Kevin Smith, and Mewes tracks down a secret method acting book to reinvent himself as a serious actor, leading on a path to becoming a psychopathic killer. Besides Mewes and Smith, the cast includes Vinnie Jones, Matt Willis, Teri Hatcher, Danny Trejo, Dean Cain, Casper Van Dien, Brian O’Halloran, and Stan Lee in what will be his final cameo.
