Actor Luke Perry has passed away according to a report from TMZ. The Beverly Hills 90210 and Riverdale star suffered a major stroke a few days ago and was unable to recover from its effects. Perry passed away Monday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.
Perry rose to fame in the 90’s in his iconic role of Dylan McKay in the smash hit Beverly Hills 90210, and went on to have roles in series such as Oz, Jeremiah and Body of Proof. Most recently he starred as Archie’s father in CW’s hit series Riverdale. Perry also had a successful voice acting career, providing voices for Biker Mice from Mars, Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm, The Legend of Calamity Jane, The Incredible Hulk, Pepper Ann, and Pound Puppies. On the big screen, Perry was seen in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Fifth Element and 8 Seconds. Perry will next be seen in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Charles Manson movie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
