With Halloween’s massive success at the box-office over the weekend, it makes sense that studios will be looking to bring back other classic franchises. It’s being reported that NBA star LeBron James’ Spring Hill Entertainment is looking to reboot the Friday the 13th franchise. Most of Spring Hill’s productions up to the point have been basketball related, including the Lions Gate documentary More Than a Game, the Disney XD sports documentaries Becoming,and the Starz sitcom Survivor’s Remorse, as well as the upcoming rumored Space Jam reboot/sequel. It has been rumored through that they have acquired the rights to bring back the House Party franchise.
There have been twelve Friday the 13th films in total, including the 2009 remake.
