Kelly Preston has passed away after a two-year battle with breast cancer. John Travolta, Preston’s husband of almost 30 years, announced the actress’s death on social media.
Preston began her acting career when she was 16 after being discovered by a fashion photographer She would go on to star in such films as Space Camp with Lea Thompson, The Experts with Travolta, Twins with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, From Dusk till Dawn with George Clooney, Jerry Maguire with Tom Cruise, The Cat and the Hat with Mike Myers and Alec Baldwin, For Love of the Game with Kevin Costner, The Last Song with Miley Cyrus and Sky High with Kurt Russell. Her last screen appearance was in 2018’s Gotti, with John Travolta. Preston also had numerous television appearances, including a run on CSI: Cyber with Patricia Arquette and Ted Danson.
Sadly, this was not the first tragedy that the family has endured. Preston and Travolta’s son Jett passed away in 2009 from a seizure. Beside her husband, Preston also left behind the couple’s twenty-year-old daughter Ella Bleu and their nine-year-old son son Benjamin.
Kelly Preston was 57.
