Jordan Peele took home the Oscar for Best Screenplay at the 90th Annual Academy Awards for his surprise hit Get Out, making him the first black screenwriter to receive the honor, and no one was more excited than his comedy partner Keegan-Michael Key. Key was watching the telecast at an Oscar party nearby, and his reaction to Peele’s win was caught on camera. Key is shown, along side Colin Hanks, in this Twitter picture:

Key went on to post his own picture in which he is clearly filled with pure Joy for his friend:

Key would join Peele at an Oscars after party where again you can see Key’s happiness for his friend:

The two costarred on Mad TV together before creating the hit Comedy Central series Key & Peele, which brought them two Emmy’s and a Peabody Award, which they followed up with the film Keanu. An Oscar win for Peele will undoubtedly provide him with more opportunities, which will likely benefit Key as well, assuming he’s not left in the dust.
