At this weekend’s Toronto Comic Con, guest Karen Allen was asked about a role the recently announced fifth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise. Here’s what she had to say:
“What about it? [laughing]. This is my new thing because everyone keeps asking me. My fingers are crossed, that’s that’s the only thing I know to say. It’s a mystery right now about who will join the ‘cast of one’, and we all know who he is. But, you know, we’ll just see. I’m waiting, I’m hopeful, I would love to do it, and I hope they find a way to create a story that Marion’s a part of.”
As Marion and Indy tied the knot at the end of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it can be assumed that she will at the very least make an appearance. Despite mixed reviews for Crystal Skull (Ok, maybe “mixed” is a bit generous), most fans can agree that the return of Allen’s Marion was a highlight of the film. We’ll know more as we get closer to the July 19, 2019 release date.
We’ll have more from our coverage of the 2016 Toronto Comic Con in the coming days.
