In an interview with the BBC, composer Hans Zimmer stated he will no longer be composing music for superhero films, stating:
“I did Batman Begins with Chris [Nolan] 12 years ago, so The Dark Knight Trilogy might be three movies to you, to me it was 11 years of my life. This one (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) was very hard for me to do, to try to find new language.”
The Academy Award winning composer has composed music for The Lion King, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, The Thin Red Line, Gladiator, The Last Samurai, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel, Inception, and Interstellar.
