In an at-home appearance on “Conan”, prolific “The Simpsons” voice actor Hank Azaria stated that he has had his vocal chords insured. Azaria shared that after blowing out his vocal chords as a result of an argument, he was not able to work for weeks after, so as a precaution, he went and had his vocal chords insured.
He also stated that he has voiced over 200 characters on “The Simpsons,” 30-35 of which are running characters. “The Simpsons” will soon be wrapping up its 31st season, making it the longest scripted series on television by a good margin. Azaria also discussed the inspiration for his titular character on “Brockmire,” which is in its fourth season on IFC.
