In news that will surprise no one, ComicBook.com is reporting that Fox has removed Fantastic Four 2 from its release schedule. It was announced the sequel would be released on June 9, 2017, but that announcement was made before the release of the film. A plethora of rumors about production of Fantastic Four had surfaced, including director Josh Trank’s behavior on the set. That, coupled with horrendous reviews and a less than a stellar performance at the box office, pointed at no other direction other than “pull the plug.” This may be the first step in Marvel obtaining the film rights to the franchise,
