According to a press release from Disney, Star Wars Episode VIII has been pushed from it’s original release date of May 26, 2017 to December 15, 2017. There have been no details expelling why, but it’s possible it has to do with the recent rumor out of Popcorn Talk that the script was being tweaked to spend more time on Rey, Poe and Finn, versus new characters. Looks like another Christmas present for Star Wars fans.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, originally scheduled to premiere on July 7, 2017, is being moved up to fill the space in the release schedule.
