After nearly two dozen films in the MCU, Black Widow is finally getting her own film, and the frontrunner to join Scarlett Johansson in the Avengers spin-off is Emma Watson. Though nothing is really known about the film, we do know that the producers are looking for a“kick ass female Bond.” Watson was recently seen in another Disney film, Beauty and the Beast, and will next be seen in Little Women.
Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures and the upcoming One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest prequel Netflix series Ratched), Dar Zuzovsky (Hostages, Neighborhood) and Florence Pugh, who will star alongside Watson in Little Women, are also still in the running.
The Black Widow solo film is expected to be released March 18, 2019.
