Now that the SAG-AFTRA strike has been resolved, studios are scrambling to get their schedules in order. Disney has announced scheduling changes to a few marquee films, including Deadpool 3, Captain America 4 and The Lion King 2.
The Shawn Levy-directed Deadpool 3, which stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, moves from May 3, 2024 to July 26, 2024. Captain America: Brave New World, starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Captain America alongside Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, Harrison Ford, and Liv Tyler, is getting pushed to February 14, 2025.
The Blade reboot is moving from that date to November 7, 2025, and Thunderbolts, which hadn’t started production before the strike is moving from December 20, 2024 to July 25, 2025. Mufasa: The Lion King sequel going from July 5, 2024 to December 20, 2024.
