
“Conclave” won the best movie at the BAFTAs at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday, beating out Sean Baker’s “Anora,” a dramedy in which an exotic dancer marries the son of a Russian oligarch, as well as Brady Corbet’s “The Brutalist,” about a Jewish architect (Adrien Brody) rebuilding his life in the United States after the Holocaust.
“The Brutalist” won four awards, including best director for Corbet and best leading actor for Adrien Brody, with Zoe Saldaña winning best supporting actress for “Emilia Peréz”.
