Amber Heard has confirmed she has been cast in the role of Mera, the love interest of Aquaman, in the upcoming Justice League films. Mrs Johnny Depp broke the news to ET Canada, and stated she will also be appearing in the standalone Aquaman film with Jason Momoa in the title role. She also gave a bit of information about her costume for the underwater queen:
“It’s interesting. It’s like, half suit of armor, half scales. It’s strange… We’re in the process of building it now, so it’s coming along.”
Justice League: Part One is scheduled for a November 17, 2017 release, with the standalone Aquaman film coming out July 27, 2018.
