It’s been announced that Alec Baldwin will be joining the cast of Todd Phillips’ Joker origin film. The Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated actor will be portraying Thomas Wayne, billionaire father of Bruce Wayne. Baldwin joins the growing cast consisting of Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker, Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, Marc Maron, and Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond.
The addition of heavy hitters like Baldwin and Deniro leads us to believe this will be less comic book movie and more mobster film, which suits us just fine. Of course, Warren Beatty, Al Pacino and Dustin Hoffman were all in Dick Tracy, so what the hell do we know.
